So it is good to always have those activated. When you activate both the Firework and Flying Disk, they fly around you and kill enemies as you near them. My early favorites tend to be the Health Pack (because, you know, you get shot/hit), Fireworks, and Flying Disk. You can use three gear items at one time. Perhaps certain aliens take more damage from plasma, but I haven’t seen any evidence of that. My Shotgun does 40 damage, but it is far more powerful than my Plasma Emitter, which says it does 110 damage. The ‘Damage’ level of the guns seems rather off, so I wouldn’t pay too much attention to that number.

Some people like the Ray Gun better, but perhaps mine just isn’t upgrade enough (and probably never will be – as I discuss below).
