I'm planning to take either take the AZ-304 exam or the AWS SysOps 2021 version after this.In this article I share my experience of getting ready for and passing the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solution Architect - Associate exam, which you will hopefully find useful for this exam. New services also showed up so be sure you know these: Gateway Load Balancer (GWLB), S3 Access Point and CloudEndure. My advise is to not skip this since this has important information that can help you on your exam. Their AWS Service Overview section really helped out enumerate all the relevant AWS services per category. I like its "YouTube" format style of teaching where they have a lot of graphics and stock video in the lectures and no just plain powerpoints. It's concise and it helps me review the concepts that I missed from Adrian's course. If you're getting 90% on all tests, then you should be fine. Before I take the actual exam, I took the Final-test mode 3 times which pulled out 65 unique questions out their 390-question bank. I also take the Section-based mode for the particular service that I need to brush on too. The way I did my tests is to do all the Timed-mode tests first then followed by Review-mode. I have lots of notes for my gotchas in the exam that really helped me on the actual exam itself. I think, the most beneficial thing about these are the explanations on why the options are right or wrong. And oh, I also like the video quality – it's 4K!Īs usual, Tutorials Dojo practice tests are spot-on. It's 50+ hours of content and it might be overwhelming to some, but believe me, these are quality materials. You know that this guy knows his stuff well when he shares those profound concepts in architecting cloud systems and citing the do's and don'ts for system design.

That's truly a professional training right there. From the use of NIST 800-145 to define what Cloud Computing, to the AWS Networking basics, Serverless Architectures and loads of hands-on labs. I leveraged on the Adrian Cantrill + Tutorials Dojo combo and it works like a charm.Īdrian Cantrill's SAA-C02 course at Cantrill.ioĪdrian's course really helps you drill down the important concepts for each AWS service.

To give back to this awesome community, I'm sharing here my exam feedback, resources I used and exam tips.

Thanks for the active participants on this sub that posts their exam feedback and tips. It doesn't have those labs like in Azure but man, this exam has so many scenarios that requires you to have in-depth knowledge of the features of certain key AWS services. The exam coverage is so extensive and you really need to understand the concepts of different services. If you took your AZ-104 exam or any advanced Azure exam in the past, the SAA-C02 is a much harder test. So people, don't underestimate this exam.

Is it DynamoDB Transactions or RDS? I also second guessed myself about DynamoDB Transactions if it is "truly" ACID-compliant or not. Both can connect to your on-prem and AWS, but which is the cheapest & doesn't traverse the public internet? Same thing for sending data to AWS – is it AWS Storage Gateway or DataSync? ACID-compliance also showed up and that really is something that freaked me up. I encountered questions where you have to choose between Direct Connect and VPN. I felt well-prepared for the test and apart from 2 or 3 questions, I feel confident in answersing the test. out of 2 or 3 selections that can also do the same task. The exam itself is a challenging one and requires you to choose the: I used PearsonVue and I guess I'm lucky I didn't have any technical issues unlike what I've been reading here. I took my Cloud Practitioner exam so this one is my 2nd AWS cert. Our company has both Azure and AWS systems and I am on pursuing to acquire several certifications on both of these cloud providers. Such happy day today, passed the SAA-C02 : AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate exam.
